Clinical Recruiter Position


Job Summary

This temporary/contract recruiting position will play a key role in the execution of proactive recruitment strategies to support the firm’s startup investment companies and other projects, as necessary. DD Scientific has an initial goal to hire 100 people within its first year in operation. For this role, the ideal candidate will come equipped to demonstrate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, while continuously building strong recruiting networks and developing innovative and creative techniques to source top talent. They will manage the recruitment process in a way that ensures an excellent experience for both the companies we support and the candidates we meet, whether selected or not. This individual must demonstrate the ability to work independently, yet collaboratively, with validated assurance that they will be able to represent 

General Accountabilities

  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Writes job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others.
  • Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.
  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral, such as brochures about the organization and its opportunities.
  • Initiates contact with and screens possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Maintains a vast network for finding and attracting potential applicants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with DD Scientific leadership to ensure recruitment strategies and processes are consistent, reliable, scalable and provide a consistent and      meaningful experience for all parties who touch the process.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently recruiting for and managing all allocated assigned job opportunities.
  • Through proactive direct sourcing, networking and referrals, continuously contributes to building an external network of selected and targeted prospective candidates.
  • Establish search strategies, manage kick-off meetings with hiring managers, screen and interview candidates, contribute to and organize debrief meetings and the development /negotiations of offers.
  • Anticipate and proactively communicate recruiting activity and status to Hiring Managers and Business Partners.
  • Serve as a key administrator of the talent acquisition system and optimize the tool to track and refer applicants to hiring managers, conduct appropriate outreach and market openings, collect feedback, and report on recruiting metrics.
  • Assure that job descriptions are updated and current, reflecting essential functions and requirements of each position being recruited.
  • Continuously build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for a wide variety of functional areas.
  • Constantly looks for ways to further improve recruiting process and metrics.


  • Previous experience with sourcing talent at all levels through a variety of creative strategic methods.
  • Extensive experience implementing effective recruiting strategies, which may include leveraging institutions and professional organizations, developing personal recruitment networks and identifying external search firms for hard-to-fill or confidential projects.
  • Ability to tap into an already established external network of prospective industry related contacts to support the strategy.
  • Working knowledge of immigration issues; compensation design/trends; as well as, competency in understanding legal matters related to conflicts of interest in the screening/selection/hiring process.
  • Broad understanding of HR practices and related regional Employment laws and regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related degree
  • 2+ years of progressive experience including direct recruiting within the biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceutical or related industry, for positions throughout an organization including strong experience recruiting scientific roles.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Proficient in use of contemporary recruiting tools, such as LinkedIn Recruiter and iCIMS talent acquisition platform.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
